Courses from painting to computers offered in artists’ studios
The Frelighsburg area is well known for the charms of its rolling landscape and exceptional Loyalist architecture, but its vibrant art community is perhaps less visible, revealing itself at local gallery shows and in the annual Festiv’Art event. Some of the region's most creative and renowned art studios are tucked away in the hills, or nestled in the woods overlooking a local waterfall, or housed within a modest clapboard church.
The Ecole d'art de Frelighsburg offers a unique educational and art-vacation experience that allows you to study with the artists in their own ateliers, learning under their direct supervision and enjoying the authentic Frelighsburg environment and special ambiance that inspires them to create.
The Ecole d'art de Frelighsburg is being launched this year by the Tourism, Art, Commerce (TAC) group which functions as Frelighsburg's chamber of commerce and organizes the Festiv’Art on Labour Day weekend.
Courses this summer and fall at the Ecole d'art de Frelighsburg range from printmaking to drawing and include computer-based classes such as Photoshop and 3D modeling. For more information about the artists and the courses please visit the web site: www.ecoledartdefrelighsburg.com
